Rule is a small quintessential Texas town where life is laid back and affordable.
Located in the northern portion of the Big Country, Rule is a place kids can be kids, where people wave and say howdy to neighbors and visitors alike, where things don't cost an arm and a leg, and strangers quickly become friends.

Rule Independent School District has 150 students enrolled (PK, K-12) and is the cornerstone of our community.
City hall furnishes our citizens with an active government providing primary services. City council meets the first Thursday of every month and welcomes the public to be involved.

Everyone is invited to come see our Veteran's Memorial Monument honoring those who served our country.
Constructed by the citizens of Rule, chiseled into the monument are the names of more than 800 veterans of the Civil War, Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War.
You may visit the memorial anytime at Slim Sorrells Park located on Highway 380 just a couple blocks east of city center.
William Rule, a railroad official of the Kansas City, Mexico and Orient Railway is the town’s namesake.
Haskell County is in the Central time zone (GMT -6). Town elevation is 1,680 feet. The area remains a center for Texas cotton, ranching, oil production, wheat and peanut crops.
